Yeah, I shoot lots of landscapes. I CAN'T resist driving by a sunrise like this...
Canon PowerShot f3.2, 1/40th sec, freakin' freezing...

Another entry for my calendar project. "W" is for Wednesday, not to be confused with George "W" Bush. Canon 5d, handheld, auto.

Impatien.  Experimenting with the macro setting on our new little camera.  Didn't really like it.  Feel I could have done the same photo without the macro setting with the Nikon, or just by zooming, but I'll have to test that theory.
Olympus, handheld, Macro, no flash.

Some post sunrises/sunsets, when in doubt, I post a picture of the cat. She loves to snuggle.

Olympus, handheld, flash, 8m.

2/5/09--From David

I was going to post something a little different, but I had taken this today as well, and when I saw Mike's pic, I figured I'd copy him!

I am quite taken with the notion of things not being what they seem. Canon 5d, handheld. Cropped.

I'm really not sure how to explain this . . . Canon 5d, flash, handheld.

This is an interesting photo of a truly ugly tie. In fact, I decided to throw it away.

Our Indian Adventure: A very friendly proprietor, but a very empty restaurant when we first entered.  Then add in a single father with two little boys, who had to sit in the booth immediately adjacent to us (empty restaurant!!!), and the 3-year-old was a brat. "Shut up!" was top on his vocabulary, as well as jumping on the seat, just to start. Then two other Asian gentlemen came in and proceeded to fight with the proprietor over their naan being too well done.  Ugh.  But the food was delicious, and he gave us each a free dessert for having to deal with the unpleasantness. We forced ourselves to eat it; we wanted to make him feel better.  So much for exercising tonight!

Every day I make some wraps with turkey and spring mix, but I can't stand this stuff. I think it's called frisse. I'd like it if it was made of chocolate.
Canon PowerShot G10, f 2.8, 1/8 sec, macro setting.

I love grainy photos, although I haven't posted much here. Dave and dogs were running around in the fresh snow--I was upstairs catching the action. Canon 5D, monopod, 16-35mm lens.

Sadness, part 2. The empty pint glass (formerly filled with a nice, dark brew...)

For my calendar project. Not sure I'd want it slapped on the side of my house, but it will do just fine for my calendar. This will take me gads more time than originally thought. But, its kinda fun scouring the streets for random numbers! Canon 5d, Flash, auto, handheld.

I call this "sadness," as it is an empty Starbucks coffee cup...

Tooled leather western saddle. Nice detail - will look even nicer once I clean it! Bought this saddle when we lived in Francestown at a yard sale.  Now all I need is the horse. Taken with the Nikon D40, close-up setting, with flash.
