Canon 5D, f2.8, 1/30 sec. Not as vibrant as the original, but a nice chance of pace from ice and snow. I have nice collection of bulbs that I picked up to brighten up our dreary winter days. More to come!

What I need to get back to, because I just received the flyer in the mail today that announces the 7th Annual 5k Cross Country Run at Olde Salem Greens Golf Course is Sunday, March 22, 2009.  Last year, that was the first 5k in which I ever participated (thank you Dave and Jean), and I definitely need to do better this year than last year.  Though I could not do any worse, since I came in last place on my first try!!!

Here they are--the people who were considerate enough to conceive me. We celebrated my father's 68th birthday tonight! Doesn't he look fabulous? Canon 5d, flash handheld. 16-35mm lens. (Dad, sorry you appear to have a plant growing out of your head)

Another addition to my calendar project. A nifty traffic sign. Shot with Canon Powershot G10, just to shake things up.

Slick. To say the least... my front walkway was pure Ice this morning, as if the magical Zamboni had paid me a visit. I guess heavy rains followed by freezing temps will do that. Anyway, I've got about 27lbs of government supplied sand scattered on the walkway and driveway now (probably bought at a premium from Halliburton during the previous administration). I'm hoping that every day, a little of that sand will make it into the house...

Canon PowerShot G10, f2.8, 1/60th sec, and fairly cold.
